Marks Lock 21 Series UniLock 21AC Mortise Lock for Security Door and Storm Door

The Marks USA 21AC Uni-Lock Mortise Lock is an Original Standard Mortise Lock used for Security Doors as well as for Storm door and sometimes on Screen doors. 

It comes with the Mortise Lock Body 90A which is compatible with the Marks USA Ornamental Iron 22AC, Marks USA Uni-Lock Ornamental Iron 9215AC, Marks USA Ornamental Iron 9225AC, also with the Marks USA Metro Mortise 114 Series and the Marks USA Metro Mortise Lock 91A, these last two are Apartment`s Mortise lock sets.

The box include the Complete Marks USA Mortise Lockset (Knobs, Two cylinders Keyed alike for inside and outside, Marks USA Mortise Lock Body 90A, Strike Plate, and Two Keys)

The Marks USA 21AC UniLock Mortise Lockset is available in Satin Chrome Finish 21AC/26D and Bright Brass 21AC/3.

Second purchase of product

I am buying these to replace the existing Mark's locks that are installed in all the security doors on my duplex. Do note that they seem to wear down over the years (decades?) until one day it just becomes hard to turn the key to unlock the door. You can still unlock. Also, over the years, the doorknob connections wear out. That's why after many years of use you need to replace. Installing brand new replacements makes the security doors work much smoother. There are some slight differences between the new replacements and the original locksets. Namely the brass faceplate that the bolts stick through is thicker. Fortunately it is not enough to affect the operation of the door but it is visually noticable and means the faceplate is not quite flush with the edge of the security door. Solid product, but I wish they would keep the dimensions exactly the same.

Good condition - easy install - on time shipment

We needed a replacement mortise/lock set for our front security door. This is an exact replacement for the Marks lock we originally had. The metal seems to wear out over decades of use. Easiest to just buy a new lock then try to find parts. I'm impressed with ED Locks. Good selection, easily searchable, good pictures, and asking questions to make sure we got the right item. We'll probably continue to use this rather than buy lock-sets from the big box stores.
